Recharge.com is an international e-commerce company based in The Netherlands, specialising in branded digital payments such as mobile phone top-up and gift cards. Pre-paid credit cards is the most popular product category at Recharge.com and an opportunity had been spotted to offer one such a card that would be better tailored to users' needs than the existing cards. Targeted at gamers and gamblers, the Ace Card was to be piloted in Recharge.com's French shop, with a potential roll-out globally.
  • Created responsive designs for various journeys, including card purchase, registration, card management, and unhappy flows.
  • Converted designs into clickable prototypes for testing.
  • Designed a separate marketing website for the Ace Card.
  • Collaborated closely with the development team on refinement and implementation.
  • Ace Card was launched on Recharge.fr in 2022, with plans for roll-out in more markets.

As the only designer on this project, I worked closely with a remote team of developers and testers as well as our UX copywriter and graphic designer. I did the following:

  • Discover: competitor research, data analysis, stakeholder interviews
  • Define: user journeys, edge cases and other scenarios
  • Design and deliver: iterative wireframes, high-fidelity UI designs, annotated flows, clickable prototypes
